Amenities & Activities
FUN! Sager Lake is our jewel, but we also have a sparkling pool, an enclosed hot tub, sauna, a kitchenette for guest use, and a Clubhouse that is open from 9am to 9pm every day during the season. Activities you can enjoy at Lake O' The Woods range from paddle-boarding, kayaking, swimming, canoeing, fishing and sailing a Sunfish on the stream and spring-fed lake, to water volleyball in the pool every weekend at 2pm. If water isn't your thing, there's outdoor ping-pong at Nature's Hollow, hiking around the lake (about 1.5 miles or about 3500 steps!), a slackline and bag toss on the clubhouse lawn, and tennis or pickle ball on the courts by the campground. Lounge by the pool or on the shady lawn or sunny decks, interrupted only by the lunch bell or happy shouts and splashes from the volleyball game. Mornings at 10:00 meet in the pool for water aerobics. Sunday mornings on the sundeck there's often a 30-minute open meditation starting at 8 am (check for signs or just show up) followed at 9:30 am by a free yoga session (nude of course) in the clubhouse or on the pool deck, weather dependent. (We have mats you can borrow, or bring your own).
FOOD! Because once you're here you won't want to put on clothes to go get food (believe me), the grill is fired up every Saturday and Sunday from 11:30 AM - 1 PM for lunch. Listen for that lunch bell and place your order with the folks at the BBQ grill. Burgers, brats, black bean patties are $3 - $5, chips and condiments included. A nice selection of ice cream bars, water, and sodas are always available for $1. There's a hearty club-cooked dinner every Saturday at 6:00 PM for $0 to $10 -- check the schedule to see what's on the menu. Often there's a vegetarian option.
EVENTS! Check our calendar for weekend social events that are so enjoyable you might want to plan your visit around them. For example, National Nude Week is the second week in July every year, and we've got practically nonstop games, arts, exercise, live music and delicious food, all to be enjoyed unencumbered by clothing. Consider staying a night or two to make it a true get-away from those pesky 'textile' days.
RETREAT! Prefer tranguility and ample opportunity for retreat and/or meditation? Those days between weekends - aka weekdays - are ideal for peaceful time at Lake O' The Woods, but you can definitely find quiet on a weekend, too: Seek out the peaceful East Pier for sun and/or shady naps and birdsong, or trek to the South side of the lake on the woodsy trails. There you'll find Nature's Hollow, a small shady park with a covered picnic area, ping-pong table, and a brand new outdoor shower.
See you soon!
