Rules for Everyone at
Lake O’ The Woods

 
 

To ensure that your visit with us is as enjoyable as possible, and for everyone’s comfort and safety, please be aware of the following rules and guidelines.

  1. A WHOLESOME FAMILY ATMOSPHERE IS VITAL. It is the responsibility of all members and guests to maintain a family atmosphere. In other words, no sexual activity of any kind is allowed outside anywhere on club grounds.

  2. Parents are responsible for the behavior and safety of their children at all times. If both parents are not present, a Minor Child Consent Form (Click to download PDF) is required. It must be signed before a notary by the non-present parent(s) or legal guardian(s).

  3. Visitors are expected to practice social nudism. We are not clothing-optional. Clothing, of any kind, is not allowed while in or on the lake, swimming pool, hot tub, or the sauna. Nudity is also expected in the clubhouse, on the East Pier, and their adjacent lawns and beaches, with exception for special circumstances (i.e. weather, infirmity, etc.).

  4. Please practice good hygiene and good manners by sitting on your own towel when nude. We recommend you carry one with you when moving about the grounds.

  5. We respect the right to privacy.
    With respect to camera capable devices (including cell phones, tablets and computers), leave them in your vehicle. If that is not possible, place a brightly colored sticker (available from the gatekeeper) over the camera lenses (often on both sides of the phone). Pictures may be taken only with the permission of those being photographed and in the company of a board member.

  6. Every member’s right to privacy requires that his identity as a member be held in strictest confidence. Also, throughout the grounds are private homes; we ask you to respect the privacy of home-owners.

  7. Visitors are welcome to use the clubhouse, and the guest kitchen, as well as any facilities on the common grounds, including all watercraft and equipment. A license is not required to fish in Sager’s Lake. Fish from designated docks only - absolutely No fishing from beaches. Flotation devices are required in the lake. paddles and flotation devices may be found in the Boat house.

  8. Visitors are invited to hike Nude on the hiking trails. A map is available from the gatekeeper. though circle trail signage is adequate to guide you around. Please be aware that hikers are visible from outside the grounds in some areas - near the two gates, on the dam, and on the causeway at either end of Sager’s Lake – all identified on the map. Cover-up (such as a towel or wrap) is needed in these areas. Hikers should respect the privacy of lawns and private homes.

  9. The club grounds are maintained by our members. Please leave them in the condition you found them or better. If there is a work project when you visit, you are welcome to participate.

  10. No one is allowed to swim alone in the lake.

  11. No glass containers are allowed in the pool area, clubhouse patio, or in sunning or beach areas.

  12. On common grounds, smoking and vaping are allowed in designated areas only (look for Red benches and red picnic tables)

  13. Pets: Except when on the way to and from the dog beach, pets (other than service animals) are not allowed in the common areas: near and around the clubhouse, the East Pier, the pool, and the tennis court. Pets must be kept on a leash. Pet owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets. If on a leash, pets are allowed on the trails and roads.

  14. The speed limit on club roads is 15 MPH. Be mindful of golf carts and pedestrians.

  15. Lake O’ The Woods Club will not tolerate intoxication and/or obnoxious behavior. Persons of legal drinking age may engage in moderate use of alcoholic beverages at their discretion.

  16. illegal substances are not allowed anywhere on the property at any time.

  17. Fireworks are prohibited on the property.

  18. Overnight campers: All garbage is to be placed in plastic or paper bags, and then placed in the dumpsters at each gate. You are responsible for the removal of your garbage to the dumpsters. Be aware that there are raccoons and that garbage should not be left where animals can get into it. Please use the can crusher next to the clubhouse to recycle aluminum cans. Overnight occupancy in the clubhouse is prohibited.

  19. OPEN FIRES are allowed only in designated fire pits (at the Clubhouse and Campground). Open fires are not allowed anywhere else on the grounds, incl. private residences: Use a spark guard and keep the fire small. Extinguish fires fully when they are no longer supervised. free Firewood is available.

  20. To ensure that our hot tub and pool pass the daily healthy water tests (and thus can stay open) please Take a soapy shower (over and under) every time you enter the pool or hot tub. Thank you!

  21. Campground and r.v. quiet hours: 11 pm - 9 am. No radios, loud talking, etc. Please respect your neighbors!
